I'm looking at options for next year, and I was hoping to find a school with a residential option. Pittsburgh seems like a nice fit since I already live in Pennsylvania. I'm not a bad dancer - I'm in the pre-professional program at my current studio - I just want to make sure I'm not reaching too high. If anyone has any feedback, that would be great. Or if there are any other schools you would like to recommend, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks! :)|||Pre-professional for a school that is affiliated with a ballet company is different that a studio's pre-professional program. It may be similar to a ballet academies pre-professional program. A pre-professional program that has an affiliate ballet company is looking for dancers to eventually be in their company. You would have to assume they would be looking for turnout, and feet and if you are older than 11 some degree of professional training. If you are 15 or 16 They would be looking for a finished dancer most likely. So, it would depend on your body, age and training.
If you are not far from Carlisle PA You could check out CPYB.
