If I was taking a plane to Tokyo from Pittsburgh. Can someone help me figure this out please.|||It depends on your flight.|||I have done this. The best way to get to Tokyo (Narita Airport) from Pittsburgh is to go to Chicago O'Hare and then directly to Narita. It takes about 15 hours. I actually went from Pittsburgh to Chicago and then to Seattle, so it took 16 hours, but Chicago has flights to Tokyo, so if you just go there, you will save time.
It's about 2 hours from Pittsburgh to Chicago O'Hare, and then a direct flight is around 13 hours from O'Hare to Tokyo (Narita).|||There are no direct flights from Pittsburgh to Tokyo, however normally the flight would be around 14-15 hours.|||Depends.
If you take American Airlines or it's codeshare operators, you first fly to the main hub in Dallas Fort Worth. that itself will probably take close to 4 hours. Then from Dallas to Tokyo Narita is 12 hours, 13 if you fly to Osaka Kansai airport.
Nagoya is also a 13 hour plane ride.
Nonetheless you have to stop in a major hub before you fly out to Japan.|||Depending on the flight and weather you should expect it to take around 14 hours of flight if direct to Narita airport. Narita is the usual airport for Tokyo. It is about 35 miles from central Tokyo. Haneda (Tokyo International Airport) is 8 miles from central Tokyo. Both airports have plenty of transportation options to get to Tokyo.
