In June im off to Pittsburgh for 3 weeks and was just generally wondering what kind of clothes shops there are over there. Having never been to america before i was really wondering what to expect and approximate prices. At the moment in england i regularly shop in places in the upper price bracket such as Jack Wills, Polo Ralph Lauren, middle price bracket topman, h&m, river island.|||You will find just about every clothing manufacturer represented in major cities in the US. Pittsburgh -- frequently voted America's most livable city -- has become quite cosmopolitan and has great shopping, dining, and entertainment. Enjoy your stay, and be sure that you are talking about American Football (rather than soccer, as we call it) and don't say anything against the Steelers of the baseball Pirates)!|||abercrombie, american eagle, and etc.|||Malls have mainly large chain stores. Depending on where you are staying, you might also find some smaller, independent stores with items you'd like - Walnut Street in Shadyside is one place you might try. There are also stores in downtown Pittsburgh.
From what I've seen on some trips to London, prices here in dollars are more or less the same number as in pounds in London, so the exchange rate will really work in your favor.
Have a good visit!
