Atlanta has used a coaching change to turn around their season, Washington is trying it. With the lofty expectations on the Penguins at the start of the year and their lackluster performance so far, how much longer does Therrien get to turn it around?
Unless Pittsburgh starts playing .500 plus hockey I think he is gone before the new year.|||I think Pittsburgh should address its goaltending situation before they make a coaching change. Marc-Andre Fleury has been letting in a lot of questionable goals this season. I'm not saying trade Fleury but maybe he does need a veteran back up goalie to work with him before he loses all his confidence and becomes another Jocelyn Thibault when he was with the Habs. I still don't understand why they haven't gone out to sign UFA Curtis Joseph, who can still play a couple of games and teach Fleury in the process.|||i don't think they will get rid of therrien unless they don't make it in the playoffs. last year they were a little slow to get started in the 1st half of the season and in the 2nd part of the season they were on fire. they will most likely make a trade or something of the sort before they consider firing therrien.|||I agree....shortly after the break if nothing improves before then.
